The sky seems to get bigger with every step and the panorama over the valleys and mountain peaks gradually opens up before the eyes until offering a breath-taking view once you have reached the 2157 m a.s.l. of the Alpine Hut Pralongià.

Arriving here is already an emotion. The view from here seems a lesson of geography: the ridges of the Conturines, a part of the Nature Park Fanes-Sennes-Prags; the mighty silhouette of Sassongher, one of the bastions of the Nature Park Puez-Geisler; the royal profile of Marmolada, the Queen of the Dolomites, crowned with snow even in mid-summer; and on the horizon – the sparkling glaciers of the Alps on the border with Austria.

The special magic of Pralongià gets released when the soft and sparkling snow covers the Alpine pastures and the austere peaks of the Dolomites, drawing an amazingly fascinating landscape. Contemplating it from the terrace of the Alpine Hut Pralongià is a real privilege... which is available for everyone!
Though located in the very heart of the ski area of Alta Badia, the mountain hut is easily reachable not only by skiers (including less expert ones), but also by those who don't ski.

WITH SKIS OR WITH A SNOWBOARD
Accessible from every village of Alta Badia

The Alpine Hut Pralongià is easy to reach by skiing from every village of Alta Badia with at least one mountain lift: Armentarola, San Cassiano, La Villa, Badia, Corvara, Colfosco. Comfortable connections and the efficient network of Alta Badia mountain lifts make it as simple as child's play.
The Alpine Hut Pralongià is located just a few steps away from the top stations of the chairlifts Pralongià II, Masarei and of the skilift Incisa. Even non-expert skiers won't face any difficulty, thanks to the possibility to choose for the arrival and for the return trip only blue slopes. Besides, the Alpine Hut Pralongià is a wonderful place for a break during the Sellaronda Tour and the Great War Tour, in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions.

FOR THE GUESTS OF ROOMS AND DORMS
Arrival and departure with luggage

The guests of the rooms and dorms of the Alpine Hut Pralongià can park their car at the valley station of the chairlift Pralongià in the locality Planac/Corvara and leave the luggage to the chairlift staff. The luggage delivery is organized by the team of the Alpine Hut Pralongià before 11 a.m. or after 3 p.m. (please use closed and compact bags and suitcases).

The guests reach us by skiing, taking the chairlifts Pralongià and Pralongià II (the first ascent to the Alpine Hut is free of charge). Mountain lifts operate till 4:15 p.m. (from the end of January till 4:45 p.m.), but keep in mind that you should take two lifts in order to reach the Apine Hut. For those who arrive after the closing time of mountain lifts, it is possible to organize a transfer with a snowmobile at the price of EUR 20.

On the departure day we kindly ask you to prepare your luggage by 9:30 a.m. in order to organize its transportation to the chairlift Pralongià. The guests ski down by themselves.

ON FOOT

The Alpine Hut Pralongià is not reserved for skiers only. Those who don't ski can reach Pralongià along the groomed winter trails of Alta Badia that wind through virgin natural scenery. The landscapes are wild, the nature of the Dolomites – mighty and imposing. Enjoy this beauty in gratified solitude, away from the crowded ski slopes. And then have a rest, savouring a hearty lunch on the terrace of the Alpine Hut Pralongià. For the return trip don't hesitate to use a sledge!
